Constructivist Inspired Poster - Tutorial for PSDTUTS
Project Specs
- Completion Date: February 22, 2008
- Scope: Poster Design and Photoshop Tutorial
- Client: PSDTUTS
- Final Project: Create a Constructivist Inspired Poster Tutorial
Project Description
This tutorial is inspired by old Constructivist posters, which is a phase in design history that has a distinctive style and approach to design. I repurposed the style of old soviet posters for this design and worked on creating a composition fitting for the title and direction of the poster design.
The tutorial demonstrates how to create a poster design inspired by an art movement. The process of cutting up images and pasting them together to create a stylized revolutionary design is described. A complete and detailed workflow of how to achieve the final design is demonstrated with step by step instructions and multiple screenshots. The composition is tied together by overlaying texture to give it a vintage feel.
